Auckland's leading Real Estate company, Barfoot & Thompson goes Google

October 6, 2014

Barfoot & Thompson are Auckland's leading real estate company - and now one of the most innovative, with its recent adoption of Google Apps.

With 1850 staff over 63 branches throughout Auckland and Northland, Barfoot & Thompson are Auckland’s leading real estate company - and now one of the most innovative, with its recent adoption of Google Apps.

Motivated to find a way to send emails from within the new property management system and having to sync their mobile phone with their PC; Barfoot & Thompson needed a solution that would be compatible, flexible, and low cost. Google Apps ticked all the boxes.

Stephen Barfoot, IT Manager said,

“We chose the Google product because it was professional, it was easy to use, it was cost effective, and it worked wherever our sales people needed to work”.

Barfoot & Thompson are now enjoying the benefits of improved teamwork with controlled access to each others email, calendar and contacts, the flexibility of working for longer periods of time without needing to return to their office to update and sync to their PC, as well as looking forward to the potential that the rest of the Google Apps Suite has to offer to their business.
